Beautiful, solid white, shorthaired, Schnee is a special boy who is hearing impaired (he was born deaf). He was fortunate to have grown up in a home from a kitten, but as he grew his family knew that he was ‘different’ from other cats. He had been held and cuddled and is use to the attention of humans, but behaviors associated with his disability were difficult for his family to cope with. He suffers from anxiety, as he is easily startled by anything that is not within his field of vision. He prefers the companionship of humans, and he will howl for his person when he cannot see them around. We have found that providing him with close fitting sweaters, t-shirts (clothing) helps to provide security and comfort to him and thus, it lessens his howling. Once he develops a relationship with his person, he is readily purrs and enjoy his scratches, pats, and brushing! He enjoys playing with his catnip mouse, his Kong Eight-track toy, feathered birdie on a bungee cord and running up and down his carpeted cat tree! Schnee has been raised with both small & large, non-aggressive dogs and other cats, but he prefers human company. He is vaccinated, wormed, neutered and microchipped. His non-refundable adoption fee is $225.00. A perfect friend and companion for a single work-from-home person!
