Our primary function is to provide assistance to needy animals, by taking in rescues and helping with rescue efforts. It was Greta’s Wish that we continue to help other Rottweilers like herself, so to that end, we consider Rottweilers that are deemed ‘unadoptable’ or ‘at risk’. To these types of dogs, we will work one-on-one providing behavioral modification using positive reinforcement techniques in a calm and loving environment, with the goal of eventual rehabilitation. Once rehabilitated, we will search for a ‘forever home’ or the dog will remain here for the remainder of its life being pampered and treated like royalty!

We also have a special interest in Senior animals, who are often “discarded” just because they are ‘old’. We have the patience and understanding for senior cats/dogs, their age related afflictions, and the time to dedicate to aging animals who just simply want attention. We are here 24/7.

Since the animal shelters are particularly over crowded in some of the Southern states, we make road trips to rescue animals from the euthanasia lists in the south (we serve the surrounding community of VT first). Please check our blog pages for updates on ADOPTABLE PETS.

We provide funding for neuter/spay clinics and financial assistance in other instances, such as necessary medical care to pet animals whose owner’s live on limited means. We will also provide assistance to dog and cats who need food, shelter, bedding, toys or other items that may be deemed necessary for a quality existence. We also will help with necessary medical care to cats/dog whose owners have limited means to pay and need assistance. Application for assistance is necessary in almost all instances, and is dependent upon available funding at the time.

The improvement of any situation that is considered ‘unfathomable’ or a ‘tragedy’ first must be understood. With understanding, there must be a foundation of education. How can we as a society create a change for the betterment of shelter dogs & cats being euthanized each year if we don’t educate ourselves and others about what’s going on? How can we make an attempt to alter the course of the future if we don’t educate at the foundation, by starting with the children? Education is the key to unlocking most societies atrocities.
